2025 Spring Sideline Cheer

Get ready for an exciting season of Sideline Cheer with the SVFL Sideline Cheer Spring Season 2025! This league is designed for young athletes who are eager to learn and enjoy the thrilling world of cheerleading in a fun, positive, and supportive environment. Our program focuses on cheerleading skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship, offering an excellent opportunity for kids to stay active and engaged throughout the Spring season while cheering for flag football teams!

Season Structure:

Practices and Games: All practices and games will be held on Sundays only. This schedule is designed to accommodate busy athletes, allowing them to participate in other Spring activities or sports throughout the week.
Duration: The season will run for 8 weeks, starting April 27th, with optional pre-season clinics (dates to be announced).
Location: Recreational Park, 25 Maxwell Noble Drive, Plantsville, CT
Age Groups: Open to Grades K-8

Coaching and Skill Development: Our volunteer coaches will work with cheerleaders on essential skills like flexibility, motions, jumps and sideline cheers. Cheerleaders will learn the fundamentals of cheerleading in a positive, supportive, and fun atmosphere.
Teamwork and Sportsmanship: This program emphasizes teamwork, leadership, and good sportsmanship, helping athletes build confidence and camaraderie while cheering for their teams.
No Experience Needed: Whether your athlete is a seasoned cheerleader or completely new to the sport, this league is open to all skill levels. Everyone is welcome to join and improve their cheerleading abilities!

No Late Registration: There will be NO LATE REGISTRATION. Please ensure you register on time.

Volunteer Requirement: As a volunteer-run league, every team is required to provide one volunteer per week to help with concessions for an hour. Your support in this role is essential!

2025 INTRO TO FLAG FOOTBALL

Intro to Flag Football Program

The Intro to Flag Football program is designed for young players, ages 4 and 5, who are eager to start learning the game and interact with teammates. This program provides a fun, engaging introduction to flag football, focusing on the development of basic skills and teamwork in a supportive environment.

Sessions will be held for one hour on Sunday mornings and will include a mix of structured skill-building drills, flag football-based games, and scrimmages. Players will have the opportunity to develop their coordination, learn fundamental football skills, and enjoy the excitement of friendly competition.

The goal of the program is to create a positive, enjoyable experience for young athletes while fostering a love for the game and encouraging social interaction with their peers.

2025 Spring COED NFL FLAG FOOTBALL

Get ready for an exciting season of flag football with the SVFL COED NFL Flag Football Spring Season! This league is designed for young athletes who are eager to learn and enjoy the game of football in a fun, non-contact environment. Our program focuses on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship, all while offering a great opportunity for kids to stay active and engaged during the Spring season.

Season Structure:

Practices and Games: All practices and games will be held on Sundays only. This schedule is designed to accommodate our busy athletes, giving them the flexibility to participate in other Spring sports or activities throughout the week.
Duration: The season will run for 8 weeks starting from April 27th. There will be optional clinics prior to the beginning of the season, dates TBA .
Location: Recreational Park, 25 Maxwell Noble Drive, Plantsville, CT
Age Groups: Grades K-12th grade (High School 9th-12th will be a waiting list to ensure we have enough participants)

No Late Registration: There will be NO LATE REGISTRATION. Please ensure you register on time.

Limited Spots Available: We can only accept as many players as we have coaches to form teams of 10-11 players. Once we run out of volunteers to serve as Head Coaches, registration will close.

Friend Requests: Each player may submit ONE request for a friend to be on their team. Due to the large number of requests we receive (over 400 last Spring), friend requests are NOT guaranteed. Once teams are formed, no changes will be made for friend requests. Please do not register a player if you expect a friend request to be honored. The ONLY exceptions are:

Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches will coach their own children (unless they request otherwise).
Head Coaches can request a specific Assistant Coach.
Siblings within the same grade bracket will be assigned to the same team (unless requested otherwise).
