FALL 2025 ALL GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL

Get ready for an exciting season of flag football with the SVFL ALL GIRLS NFL Flag Football Fall Season! We are the fastest growing ALL Girls League in the state with 3 Divisions of competitive Flag Football.

Season Structure:

Practices and Games: Practices will be 2x a week and Games will be Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings (specific practice days and times, game times are TBD once registration is closed) There are other expected activities such as clinics, mandatory combine and Apple Harvest Parade, SVFL fundraising events.
Duration: The season will run from July 27th - Mid November
Location: Recreational Park, 25 Maxwell Noble Drive, Plantsville, CT
Age Groups: 3rd -5th (Elementary Division) 6th-8th (Middle School Division) 9th-12th (High School Division)
Grades under 3rd please register in the Coed Division in separate registration. (If we have 32 or more girls in the K-2 division we will consider a break away)

Coaching and Skill Development: Our volunteer coaches will work with players on improving their football skills, including passing, receiving, and flag pulling. Players will learn the fundamentals of football in a supportive and fun environment.
Teamwork and Sportsmanship: Beyond individual skills, this program emphasizes teamwork, leadership, and good sportsmanship.
No Experience Needed: Whether your athlete is a seasoned football player or new to the game, this league is open to all skill levels. Everyone is welcome to join and improve their abilities!

Important Registration Information:

No Late Registration: There will be NO LATE REGISTRATION. Please ensure you register on time and remind your friends and neighbors.

Limited Spots Available: Rosters will have a max amount of players. Once we run out of spots registration will close.

Friend Requests: Our all Girls League Teams are formed differently than our other divisions. We use an existing team (HS only) and Draft procedure to make teams. The goal is to have the most equal ability teams for competitiveness so we do not honor friends requests.

Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches will coach their own children (unless they request otherwise).
Head Coaches can come with an existing Assistant Coach.
Siblings within the same grade bracket will be assigned to the same team (unless requested otherwise).

Volunteer Requirement: As a volunteer-run league, all teams will be required to provide volunteers weekly for concession, field set up and clean up.

Get ready for an exciting season of flag football with the SVFL COED NFL Flag Football Fall Season! This league is designed for young athletes who are eager to learn and enjoy the game of football in a fun, non-contact environment. Our program focuses on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship, all while offering a great opportunity for kids to stay active and engaged during the Spring season.

Season Structure:

Practices and Games: Practices will be 2x a week and Games will be Saturday morning and early afternoon (specific practice days and times, game times are TBD once registration is closed)
Duration: The season will run from September 2nd - October 25 with non mandatory clinics in August
Location: Recreational Park, 25 Maxwell Noble Drive, Plantsville, CT
Age Groups: Grades K-8th Grade. (High School is only for the Girls Division in separate registration)

Friend Requests: Each player may submit ONE request for a friend to be on their team. Due to the large number of requests we receive, friend requests are NOT guaranteed. Once teams are formed, no changes will be made for friend requests. Please do not register a player if you expect a friend request to be honored. The ONLY exceptions are:

Head Coaches can request a specific Assistant Coach.

FALL 2025 INTRO TO FLAG FOOTBALL

Intro to Flag Football Program

The Intro to Flag Football program is designed for young players, ages 4 and 5, who are eager to start learning the game and interact with teammates. This program provides a fun, engaging introduction to flag football, focusing on the development of basic skills and teamwork in a supportive environment.

Sessions will be held for one hour on Saturday mornings and will include a mix of structured skill-building drills, flag football-based games, and scrimmages. Players will have the opportunity to develop their coordination, learn fundamental football skills, and enjoy the excitement of friendly competition.

The goal of the program is to create a positive, enjoyable experience for young athletes while fostering a love for the game and encouraging social interaction with their peers.
